Durnaldin was the first Angelic being, and the first true celestial. Unlike the Pillars he did not need to ascend to become Divine, he simply was Divine. Born into the power of the Divine, it's powers came to him as easily as one moved a hand. He was the First son of the Pillars and marked the beginning of the First Era, the start of history itself. He was meant to be a bright light that would guide the Gods and newly born mortals into a new age of peace and prosperity.

At first Durnaldin filled his role easily and gladly, helping to guide the newly created Lesser Gods in their new powers. He was the Shining Jewel of the Divine pure and undiluted, blood of purest silver and the origin of the element. Yet Durnaldin was too pure, too perfect, he had no connection to the other gods and their flaws. He began to feel disconnected from his brethren, and this feeling only grew as he witnessed the Sundering War.

While the First Son did not understand the war truly, he still found himself participating under the banner of the Kelnar. He was born to Order, and so Order must be correct, right? This war had a greater tole on Durnaldin than most, for not only was his body wounded, but also his spirit. He began to see the flaws in the other Gods, in the mortals who offered Wicked prayers to him. Durnaldin found what he was missing, why he could never truly connect with others or do what he set out to do. He was too perfect, and without flaw. Those without flaws stagnate, their power weakened, and so Durnaldin created his own Universal law equal to that of Death, Space, and Time. That every being must be flawed.

Upon this realization the corruption that had infected him like a parasitic seed blossomed and he became the holder of one of the 9 primal sins, the bearer of Tyranny; And so the Silver Son became tarnished. Durnaldin is still widely loved by mortals, as he was loved by all, and many of the Lesser Gods, now Dead, follow him as he was their lord. But he now knows what stagnation is, the slow death to all who would try to be perfect.

Durnaldin offers his support to all who wish for peace and health, yet his hand can also be seen in Tyranny. In those who would offer strength and stability, no matter the cost. Silver too this day is still a pure metal that purifies and repels corruption, harkening back to the power of the First Son in his prime, to it's creator.
