Rienalta is one of the Three primordial Sisters who helped create reality from The Hollow King's dreams along with the two primordial dragons. She is the youngest of her sisters and the opposite of Azarnea the eldest. Azarena is the dark, the void before life while Rienalta is the Light that lit up the dark.

Rienalta was the first to notice invaders looking in from the Realm of Nightmares, and during the ancient times she split her soul into thousands of pieces, effectively killing herself to create the Net of Stars. Forming the majority of stars in the Shattered Sun, this net acts as the strongest barrier to ever be and holds back the forces of the Blind Gods from our reality. During the Shattering a hole was ripped open in this net of stars, and so the gods had to leave Varian and enter the divine realms. The must now pour the majority of their power into Rienalta's net to keep the blind gods at bay, making their descent onto Varian nigh impossible.

Rienalta and her religion has only been resurrected in the past 200 years thanks to a Starspawn tiefling named Celeste. She is now the primordial sister with the most widespread religion.
